Jeremy Singer is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan-Flint. Jeremy began his career in education and in Detroit as a teacher in the Detroit Public Schools. He completed his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Wayne State University. He served as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Education Policy Innovation Collaborative (EPIC) at Michigan State University, and a researcher at the Detroit Partnership for Education Equity & Research (Detroit PEER). As a researcher, he focuses broadly on the intersections between education policy and racial and socioeconomic inequality. His research has covered topics such as attendance and chronic absenteeism, school choice, school improvement, and the relationship between housing and education.
