About Josep Nadal-Fernandez
Josep Nadal-Fernandez is a Senior Research Fellow for the Education Research Alliance for New Orleans and the National Center for Research on Education Access and Choice. He is an applied economist whose research delves into how market forces shape education outcomes and the effectiveness of interventions, especially as they relate to school choice and disparities affecting disadvantaged students.Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Michigan State University’s Education Policy Innovation Collaborative, contributing to the analysis of Michigan’s early literacy policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where his dissertation investigated the interplay between teacher labor markets and school competition.
